This 30-Hour Salesperson Remedial course is designed for currently licensed salespersons who completed the NY 45-hour salesperson licensing course prior to July 1, 2008, and are now seeking a NY broker’s license. In addition to this course, salespersons must also complete a two-hour CE course on Fair Housing and/or implicit bias training, and the 75-hour broker course. 

New York 32-Hour Broker Remedial Course

This 32-Hour Broker Remedial course is designed for broker license applicants who successfully completed the 75-hour salesperson prelicensing course and the 45-hour broker prelicensing course prior to December 21, 2022. It contains 32 hours of supplemental content that is required for new broker applicants today to meet the state requirement of 152 hours. Topics range from broker supervision and structure, onboarding and training, investment analysis and risk management, and fair housing.    

New York 75-Hour Broker License Course

Learn to look at the business in a new light through this broker license preparation course. We focus on broker-specific topics like business law and antitrust. We also cover familiar topics like agency, finance, and fair housing, but we add a broker-specific spin. This 75-hour course covers all the instruction required to be eligible for the New York Broker license.

New York State Requirement Details for Real Estate Broker Pre-Licensing Education

Broker License Course Hours Required by the State: 75 hours

Effective 12/21/2022: individuals applying for a real estate broker license are required to complete 75 hours of broker prelicensing education, in addition to 77 hours required for real estate salesperson licensure (152 total hours).

Remedial Broker License Course Hours Required by the State: 32 hours

Those applying for licensure as a real estate broker after 12/22/2022 who successfully completed the 75-hour salesperson qualifying course and the 45-hour broker qualifying course must take a 32-hour broker remedial course.

Remedial Salesperson License Course Hours Required by the State: 30 hours + 2 hours Fair Housing and/or implicit bias training

In addition to the 75-hour broker qualifying course, those applying for licensure as a real estate broker after 12/22/2022 who successfully completed the 45-hour salesperson qualifying course must take a 30-hour supplemental course, plus a two-hour CE course on Fair Housing and/or implicit bias training.

Licensing Exam: The licensing exam is administered by the New York Department of State. Registration for the state licensing exam is an entirely separate process from proctoring for your course final exam.
