New York 75-Hour Broker License Course

New York State Requirement Details for Real Estate Broker Pre-Licensing Education
Broker License Course Hours Required by the State: 75 hours
Effective 12/21/2022: individuals applying for a real estate broker license are required to complete 75 hours of broker prelicensing education, in addition to 77 hours required for real estate salesperson licensure (152 total hours).
Remedial Broker License Course Hours Required by the State: 32 hours
Those applying for licensure as a real estate broker after 12/22/2022 who successfully completed the 75-hour salesperson qualifying course and the 45-hour broker qualifying course must take a 32-hour broker remedial course.
Remedial Salesperson License Course Hours Required by the State: 30 hours + 2 hours Fair Housing and/or implicit bias training
In addition to the 75-hour broker qualifying course, those applying for licensure as a real estate broker after 12/22/2022 who successfully completed the 45-hour salesperson qualifying course must take a 30-hour supplemental course, plus a two-hour CE course on Fair Housing and/or implicit bias training.
Licensing Exam: The licensing exam is administered by the New York Department of State. Registration for the state licensing exam is an entirely separate process from proctoring for your course final exam.
